Haptens are small compounds that penetrate skin and bind to epidermal protein.
haptens are small molecule which alone cant activate the b cell to produce antibody,
it attaches to a large molecule and activate the b cell and antibody thus produced can target the large molecule itself.
it can activate immune response only when it attached to a large carrier molecule such as protien,
this large carrier molecule may also cant activate the immune response.
