    Direct Tax- It can not be transfered or shifted to the another person.
    Indirect Tax- It can be shifted to another person.

    Direct tax is directly paid to the government.Its burden cannot be shifted to others. Ex -income tax indirect tax is paid to govt indirectly. It is m ainly applied on manufacture or sale of goods and services.
