troposphere
The troposphere is the lowest atmospheric layer and it is the densest layer. The densest part of the troposphere itself is nearest the ground. In fact, the troposphere contains most of the Earth’s atmosphere. Gravity tends to pull the molecules of the atmosphere towards the Earth’s surface, but the molecules are small and move at high speed and therefore many air molecules can be found well above the surface
As temperature increases, the air density becomes less. As air pressure increases, the air density becomes greater. The pressure change is usually the dominant effect. As you go higher up in the atmosphere, the mass of air above you becomes less and so the pressure on you reduces as altitude increases.
