Democracy stands much superior in promoting dignity and freedom to the citizens democracy promoted dignity and freedom of the individual every individual wants to receive respect from fellow being .democracies have achieved this to a certain degree in many countries.long struggle by women have got them respect and equal treatment.
The passion for respect and freedom are the basis of democracy. All the democracies in world accept this as a principal and this is a great achievement for it. for example in male dominated societies in the world, the status of women was not satisfactory.they were discriminated at home and at work place. In democracies, equal treatment and respect to women hads been accepted .it has become easier for women to struggle againts discrimination and injustice. Similarly in india disadvantaged and discriminated castes have been granted equal status and equal opprtunities.discrimination on the basis of caste,religion,sex has been banned.thus,it is a fact that democracy promotes dignity and freedom of the individual more than any other form of government.
