1. National Institute of Fashion Technology, DELHI

It was incepted in 1968 and went into an alliance with FIT(New York). It was basically set up the Government of India. It has been regarded as the top most college for fashion designing in the country. NIFT’s head office is situated in New Delhi. This institutehas one of the richest and unique collection of the required sources.

The famous alumni of NIFT Delhi includes designerslike Ritu Beri, Manish Arora and Rohit Bal. NIFT offers full-time on campus courses such as BDes in textile designing, Knitwear designing, Accessory designing, Leather designing, Fashion communication, BFTech.(Apparel Production), PhD Programme (Design).

2. National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai

With foundation being laid in 1995, NIFT is located in Mumbai which considered to be the Fashion Hub in itself. NIFT provides a lot of exposure to the students with proper training and guidance. Not only it provides first class infrastructure but also it has sports facilities- both outdoor and indoor. It also has a Gymnastics Centreas well as Recreational Centre. 3. National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru

4. PEARL Academy

Being established by the Little People Edu. Society in the year 1993, Pearl Academy is also enrolled under the Act of Societies Registration 1860. The promotion of Pearl Academy was initially done by House of Pearl Fashions Limited which is an Export House in India.

The first campus of the Pearl academy was laid down in Okhla (South Delhi) but subsequently the campus was shifted to Naraina (West Delhi). Pearl Academy came into alliance with Nottingham Trent University which is in U.K and all the courses in Pearl Academy were validated by Nottingham University. The courses that Pearl academy offers are BA (Interior Design and Architecture), BA (Fashion Design), and BA (Jewellery Designing, Fashion Media Communication, Interior Product Design, Luxury Brand Management, Branding and Advertising Management).

5. National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai

Established in the year 1995, NIFT provides State of –Art facilities. All the members of the college have an access to inner and outer courtyard which is attached with a number of facilities like Badminton Court, Table tennis, Gymnasium, Basketball court

Wi- fi internet facilities and free shuttle service for industrial visits are also offered to the students.

6. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna

NIFT Patna started its operations from Udyog Bhavan (Gandhi Maidan) and was incepted in the year 2008. The permanent classes were started in 2014 from its main campus – Mithapur Farms (Patna). It provides proper connectivity to the parts of the city through autos and buses. It is fully a no- smoking zone & security is the prime objective of the campus. The courses provides by National Institute of Fashion Technology, Patna are M.A in Fashion Management, Bachelor of Fashion Tech., and BDes in Fashion Communication, Fashion Designing, Textile Designing, and Accessory Designing.

7. National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad

The foundation of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad was laid down in the year 1995. At the beginning the center was at Chenetha Bhavan, Nampally in Hyderabad but later on the institute revived itself with a Campus spread in Five- acres at Madhapur in 20^th May(1999). There is also a hostel facility on first-come-first-serve basis for girls only. There is no hostel facility available for boys. The courses provided by NIFT, Hyderabad are BDes in Fashion Communication, Knitwear Designing, Fashion Designing, and Accessory Designing.

8. Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology, Mohali

Located in Baddi, Lalru (Dera Bassi- Mohali) NIIFT was established in the year 1995. NIIFT also has its branches in Ludhiana and Jalandhar. The support in the admission procedure, Recruitment and Training of faculty and upgrading & scheduling of the curriculum, is provided by National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi for which it has been sanctioned an amount of Rs. 48 crores for three years. The courses offered by NIIFT, Hyderabad are BSc. In Fashion Designing Knits, Textile Designing and BSc in Fashion Designing.

9. NIFT-Tea College of Knitwear Fashion

NIFT-Tea College was incepted with joint efforts of Ministry of SSI and ARI and ICICI in the year 1997. It does not have any kind of association or validation by NIFT, New Delhi. NIFT-Tea College of Knitwear Fashion is an elite college committed to Knitwear and fashion industry and provides various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma courses in fashion, textile field. It offers BSc. In Costume Design and fashion, Fashion Apparel Mgt., BSc. Apparel Manufacturing, Computer Science, BSc. Garment Designing, B.Com (Computer application), Business Administration, PG Diploma (Apparel Merchandising and Management).

10. National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata

NIFT Kolkata was initially started at an accommodation which was hired in Manjusha Bhavan (Salt Lake) with a very few facilities in the year 1995. The institute was started again with a campus in five- acres (at Salt Lake) in the year 1999. Today there are more than 700 students who are a part of NIFT, Kolkata. A number of facilities are provides to the students like Design Studios, Leather Processing Lab, Weaving Lab, Cad Studio, Construction Labs, Auditorium, Jewellery Design Studio, Seminar Hall and much more. The courses offered by NIFT, Kolkata are BDes (Leather Designing, Textile designing, Fashion designing, Knitwear designing, Fashion Comm. and BFtech in Apparel Production.
