Diwali – Festival of Lights

Diwali which is also known as Deepawali is a beautiful and lovely Hindu festival of lights and decorations which falls between October and November every year for 5days from Dhanteras to Bhaiya duj.

We prickle a lot of crackers on Diwali to rejoice it with our Pleasure and also many arrangements are done on this occasion. Peoples wear different dresses and sparkle their houses to make their house stunning.

Before we celebrate Diwali, we worship Goddess Laxmi and God Ganesha as it is considered that on this festival of lights Goddess Laxmi bestow us with her blessings to usher in a bright Future and visits house of everyone that’s why Peoples spread lights around their houses to welcome Goddess laxmi wholeheartedly and God Ganesh Ji takes away all our glitches and fills our lives with cheerfulness.

Basically, this festival was developed when God Rama had Mangled God Ravan for his sins and after 14 years of Exile when Ram ji had come back to his kingdom (Ayodhya) with Goddess Sita and his brother (Laxman). Peoples had prickle candles and keep Diya’s around their houses to blowout Lights everywhere. Therefore, from that day we celebrate Diwali which is synonymous with festival of lights. We also distribute gifts and grants to our relatives and friends to rejoice Diwali with harmony.

Peoples start cleaning their houses before few days of Diwali such as painting, dusting, white washing, etc. Diwali is the most enjoyable and sacred festival of lights in the Hindu religion. It brings happiness & cheerfulness in our lives and we also celebrate this festival with a lot of enthusiasm and enjoy every flash of it. Everyone galvanise for this festival in order to enjoy and have a lot of fun and pleasure in our lives. Every person celebrates Diwali in his own way. Some people’s scald crackers, some peoples travel outside and some peoples celebrate Diwali with their family and friends. Mostly online and offline vendors give heavy discount on artificial materials, household things, etc. because it is the main and foremost festival in Hindu religion and also a lot of schemes come on this special festival. We can also call it “Shopping Festival” because mostly people purchase several commodities on this occasion.

We should also know that it is the festival of lights not the festival of firecrackers. So, we should stay cautious when we blister crackers because some crackers have high pitch volume so it can also interrupt the equilibrium of atmosphere. Some peoples also misuse crackers on this festival which should not be done. We should understand the importance of this beautiful and adorable festival instead of misusing this festival. We should not give sorrow to any one on this lovely occasion. Kids are specially required to stay away from it. We should also be careful and stay away from these crackers as it is not safe for us. We should also take a pledge on this Diwali that we rejoice our further festivals in a safe and protected manner.
